The M4 from London to South
Wales.
Over the Seven bridges this
is a toll crossing approx £5.10 sterling.
Disabled cardholders free, they do not have to
be the driver, just one of the passengers.
Travel along the M4 to junction 49
Pont-Abraham Service Area where the road becomes
the A48 again towards Carmarthen. (Straight
across this roundabout)
Continue to the next roundabout called Cross
Hands (passing little chef and petrol garage on your
left. Take the third exit A476 towards Llandeilo .
Travel along this road approx two miles, after
passing the Texico Service Station on your left; take the next
left onto the B4297 going up a very steep hill
for Maesybont and Dryslwyn.
Follow this road for some miles (Take time to
look at the view) before travelling down to the bottom T-junction.
Turn left, travel approx 400yrds then turn right. Over river,
passing a small derelict castle of Dryslwyn on
your right, carry on to main crossroads, where you will meet
the main A40. (Left Carmarthen, right Llandeilo)
Drive straight across for Llanfynydd ,
Passing on route Mazda Car Sales on left, church on hill on right,
New Inn pub on left, Tractor Sales on right. Stay on this road
for approx four miles.
Properties thin out at this point, but continue
on and up, you will see on your left log cabins of Pantglas
Hall , then a T-junction. Turn right, down hill, for
about one mile.
The road carries on straight but there is a small
turning right, (a fork) it appears to run parallel. There is
a sign for the Farmers Arms Pub take that one.
(If you miss it don't panic, you will only end up going through
the village) Follow this lane until the next small off set cross
roads, the farmers arms on your right, drive straight across,
passing the Llanfynydd sign, 200yrds up on the right is a low stone
walled entrance to Stangwrach . Signposted
Holiday Accommodation. You have arrived.
Please drive carefully as the country lanes are
narrow in places and do not hesitate to call us if you get lost
and we will come and find you. Reception for mobile phones is
fairly good, but if you loose your signal and are lost head for
the nearest hilltop.
